It's amazing what the talented people of our state are creating right in our own backyard and often you don't know about them because they can't compete with the big advertising budgets of the brand names. Well, BC Private Label is your chance to get to know some of the local specialties that I've tested myself. Everything here is a product I've tried, and recommend to you, my listeners and friends. JUS COOKIN'S
Let me start by saying I’m still really mad that Lakewood stole Jus Cookin's away from us in Aurora!! Let me also say there aren’t many restaurants you’d drive all the way across to town to visit, but Jus Cookins is a fabulous exception. The Crandall’s have been eating at Steve and Char’s restaurant since I started at KEZW in 1991. You could say we’ve grown up together. That kind of loyalty is hard to come by, and I blame it on two words. Peach Cobbler.
Diane and my Mother would actually call each other when it was Peach Cobbler time at Jus Cookins and off we’d go. Oh, we were already going for the fabulous chicken and sandwiches and salads and meatloaf and... But when it was Peach Cobbler season, we went A LOT!!! At a time when the world seems to spin a little uneasy, it’s nice to have a place where you feel at home. Feel comfortable.
