Stacey Kent’s life has ended up about a million miles from where it was originally headed. Her life changed as a young American language student journeying to Europe in pursuit of her masters degree.
A chance meeting with her future husband and saxaphone player Jim Tomlinson in Oxford turned her life toward a musical odyssey that would see her become one of the worlds foremost jazz singers. The two set out to make music their lives and since her dubut release in 1997, “Close Your Eyes,” Stacey has become one of the most recognizable and respected voices in jazz today.
With seven best selling album’s under her belt, including Breakfast on the Morning Tram (2007) and The Boy Next Door (2003) both of which achieved Gold status, Stacey is able to sell out concert halls all over the globe.
